Oral Care in Continuing Care Settings

The “Brushing Up on Mouth Care” program was developed through a collaborative research project funded by the Nova Scotia Health Research Foundation (NSHRF) and led by Dr. Mary McNally, Faculty of Dentistry and Atlantic Health Promotion Research Centre (AHPRC) Research Associate.  It contains educational materials aimed at improving daily oral care for older persons living in long-term care. The ‘Brushing Up on Mouth Care’ program focuses on education and training for nursing staff and care providers and also includes hands on resources.
